BOSTON, Mass. Emmanuel College senior Francisco Tavares (Boston, Mass.) and freshman John Cavanaugh (Redding, Conn.) were both recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in the first-ever GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Major Awards announcement on Friday afternoon. Tavares was named the GNAC Men s Track Athlete of the Year while Cavanaugh was named the GNAC Men s Track Rookie of the Year. Junior Jordyn Gonsor (Springfield, Mass.) and sophomore Patrick Carty (Sweden, Maine) represented the Saints on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
